#6 BEARCATS DROP SECOND IN A ROW
ARKADELPHIA, ARK. ...In their second match of the weekend, the Southwest Baptist University Bearcats (1-2) dropped their second match in a row to a ranked opponent. #15 Ouchita Baptist came away with a 5-4 victory over the Bearcats. The day before SBU lost to #1 Tyler Junior College, 5-4.
SBU picked up wins from Dante Cipulli, Andras Bori, and Peter Joos in the singles competiton while Cipulli/Johna Nortje won in doubles.
Cipulli came away with a 6-0, 5-7, 6-3 over Andre' Edwall in the #1 match. Bori then defeated Alejandro Chong in two sets, 6-3, 6-3, in the #2 match. #5 Joos had the final singles win over Chris Jones, 0-6, 6-2, 10-7.
In doubles, Nortje/Cipulli beat Federico Pintaluba/Chong, 8-6.
SBU will back in action on February 28th as they travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma to take on Abilene Christian University and Oral Roberts University.
