#13 SBU PICKS UP 6-3 WIN OVER NAIA #21 GRACELAND
BOLIVAR, MO. ... The Southwest Baptist University Bearcats came away with a 6-3 win over Graceland University (Iowa) on Wednesday, March 31st. SBU has now won 12 out of their last 14 matches.
Dante Cipulli, Mark Eori, Andras Bori, and Johan Nortje all had single wins in the #1 through #4 spots. Cipulli defeated Pablo Gimenez, 7-5, 6-0, at the #1 while Eori had a 6-1, 6-0 win over Simon Ouellet. Nortje claimed a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Izudin Zunic and Nortje won 6-3, 6-1 against Miguel Gonzalez.
In doubles, Eori/Bori and Nortje/Cipulli picked up wins.
SBU is currently 12-3 on the year and are ranked #13 in the nation and #1 in the North Central Region. In the national singles ratings, Cipulli is #6, Bori is #9, and Eori is #36. In doubles, Eori/Bori are #7 and Nortje/Cipulli are #16.
The Bearcats will take on #10 Drury University on Friday, April 2nd, in Springfield at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
