#13 BEARCATS TO HOST NCAA NORTH CENtrAL REGIONAL TOURNAMENT
SECOND YEAR IN A ROW FOR SBU TO HOST

BOLIVAR, MO. ... For the second year in a row, the Southwest Baptist University Bearcats will host the NCAA Division II North Central Regional announced by the NCAA on Wednesday night. Four teams from the North Central Region will compete for the crown on May 7-8.

Along with SBU as the #1 seed, the University of Nebraska-Kearny, Colorado State University-Pueblo, and Truman State University all will play at the John Bryant Tennis Center. UNebraska-Kearny is the #4 seed, CSU-Pueblo is #5, and Truman State is #8.

Beginning on Friday, May 7, UNebraska-Kearny (14-3) will play CSU-Pueblo at 9:30 a.m. SBU (21-4) will then take on Truman State (6-6) at 12 p.m. The winners of both matches will then play at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 8.

SBU is coming off their second consecutive MIAA Championship and have been ranked #1 all spring season in the North Central Region. They have three players that are ranked in the nation.

Leading the way as the #2 singles player in the nation is junior Dante Cipulli with an overall spring record of 24-1. Senior Mark Eori (23-2) is #26 and senior Andras Bori (19-4) is #27. In doubles, Eori/Bori are #17 in the nation with a record of 18-7. Cipulli and Johan Nortje are 23-2. In the North Central Region, SBU claims the #1 through #3 spots in singles (Cipulli, Eori, Bori). In doubles, they have the #1 and #2 spots (Eori/Bori and Cipulli/Nortje).
