COMES AWAY WITH TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS AT ARKANSAS
JOOS WINS CONSOLATION CHAMPIONSHIP

FAYETTEVILLE,
ARK. ... At the NCAA Division I tournament, it was an all
Southwest Baptist final in the singles and doubles championships.
Dante Cipulli added a couple more championships to his name
after claiming the singles and doubles championships at the
University of Arkansas Invitational.
In the
semi-finals, Cipulli defeated Frankowicz (Drake) 6-4, 6-2
to reach the finals. He faced teammate Mark Eori for the championship
and won 6-7, 6-4, 6-4. Eori made it to the finals by defeating
teammate Andras Bori 7-5, 6-2.
In the
doubles final, Cipulli/Nortje beat teammates Bori/Eori 8-5
for the championship.
Peter Joos claimed the consolation championship with a 6-3,
6-2 win over Drake Univesity’s McClure.
After
it was all said and done, the Bearcats dominated the NCAA
Division I tournament by taking three championships.
