Wins Third Straight

Baptist 75, Central Bible 64
SPRINGFIELD
- The Bearcats have won three straight games in the last six
days after taking a 75-64 victory over Hwy. 13 foe Central
Bible College on Thursday.
The men
were led by a double-double from freshman Arthur Trousdell.
He had 19 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Three other Bearcats
scored in double figures for SBU: Kendrick Jackson (16), Ryan
Stock (14) and D.J. Hogue (11).
SBU shot
.500 from the field Thursday night and 100 percent from the
free throw line. However, they only got to the line six times
with five of those being in the last five minutes of the game.
The Bearcats
usual outside threat was almost non-existent shooting only
.167 from the three-point arc (2-12). SBU had been averaging
.400 from the arc this season.
CBC was
led by Jon McCluey with 25 points and 14 rebounds. he was
10 of 14 from the field and played all 40 minutes as did Chris
Johnson. Johnson had 19 points for the Spartans.
SBU will
return to action on Saturday, Dec. 14 when they host Harding
University at 8 p.m.
