Bearcats Win Saturday
Southwest Baptist 102, Harris-Stowe 74

BOLIVAR - SBU ended its three-game losing streak Saturday by defeating Harris-Stowe in the 2002-03 home opener, 102-74.

Freshman Arthur Trousdell led the Bearcats with 22 points. He also had eight rebounds on the day.

Four other Bearcats were in double figures including senior Ryan Stock who finished with a double-double (21 points and 11 assists). D.J. Hogue (17), David Coutchie (15) and Antwan Butler (14) rounded out the SBU double-digit scorers.

Leading the Bearcats in rebounding was Hogue with nine. Stock also had eight rebounds.

SBU shot well from the field hitting 50 percent of their shots on Saturday (36-72). The Beacats were 10-26 from the three-point arc (38.5 percent) and 20-24 from the charity stripe (83.3 percent).

SBU will return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 3 when it hosts Drury at 7 p.m. The contest will also be "Take A Kid To The Game Night" at Davison Field House. All children 18 and younger will receive free admission with a paying adult.
