Royce Bryan

Royce Bryan is entering his second year at SBU but is no stranger to Jeff Guiot program. Bryan played for Guiot at Bemidji State from 2001 through 2003 and also at Neosho County Community College in 1999-2000.

At BSU, Bryan was an academic all-American while being named to the NSIC All-Conference team. He earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education in 2003. Prior to BSU, he played at South Plains College in the 2000-01 season where he earned his associate of arts degree. In one year, he was a member of the Region 5 honorable mention team and received a NJCAA national academic award. His first year of college basketball was spent at Neosho County C.C. where he played for Coach Guiot. He helped NCCC to a 27-6 record and a conference championship.

After graduation from BSU, Bryan took his first teaching job at Scott Community H.S. in Scott City , Kansas. He taught Social Studies and coached freshmen basketball, football, and was the head tennis coach.

Bryan is originally from Haviland, Kansas and is working on a master of education at SBU. This past May he was wed to his wife Shari.
