Golf Coaching Staff
Coach Cribbs is entering his eighth season as the head coach of the Southwest Baptist University men's golf team. Over the past four seasons, he has guided SBU to four-straight NCAA Regional Tournaments and won the MIAA Golf Tournament Championship in 2002. In 2002, SBU won its first-ever MIAA golf championship at Silo Ridge Golf Course in Bolivar, Missouri. They defeated heavy favorite Central Missouri State by 22 strokes. Because of their performance, they also received their first ever bid to the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament. Cribbs is also a member of the NCAA Division II South Central regional committee and has been on the committee for three years. He is a 1994 graduate of Southwest Baptist University where he was a member of the golf team. At SBU, he won the 1994 individual championship at the MIAA Tournament and won three touraments overall. At Bolivar H.S., he was a four-time qualifier for the state tournament. In June 2002, he married his wife Amanda they have one son, Cooper (2), who was born in October 2003.
Darrol Cribbs is in his seventh year as the assistant to head coach Kevin Cribbs. He joined the SBU family in 2000 when Coach Kevin Cribbs was hired as the head coach. Cribbs is a life-long Bolivar resident and an avid golfer. He likes all sporting events and makes many appearances at SBU athletic events. He is also the father of Kevin Cribbs, the head coach. |
