SBU FINISHES 7TH AT MSSU

Results
Jared Lotz was the top finisher for SBU at the MSSU Invitational.

JOPLIN, MO. ... A rough start for Southwest Baptist left the Bearcats to finish in seventh place at the Missouri Southern Invitational. SBU shot a first day total of 332 and did not improve on day two.

SBU finished with a two-day total of 665 (332-333) with freshman Jared Lotz tying for 26th place (81-83=164).

Clay Brandenburg tied for 28th (81-84=165) and then Mike Martinez tied for 30th (86-80=166). Martinez improved by six shots on day two and had the best overall score for SBU in a round of golf at MSSU.

Nick Layman then tied for 36th place (84-86=170) and Adam Lotz finished tied for 44th (89-86=175).

Dodge City C.C. won the Invitational by one stroke over Washburn University. Dodge City shot a 626 (317-309) while Washburn had a 627 (314-313).

SBU will travel to the Washburn Invitational on April 4-5.
