J.C. Dawkins
Offensive Coordinator / Wide Receivers

After one season as Wide Receiver coach, J.C. Dawkins has been promoted to Offensive Coordinator.  "We didn't go very far to find the best coach for the position.  J.C. is a very thorough and demanding coach.  His kids play hard for him and he brings a tough nose attitude to the offense that we need.

Dawkins brings hands on experience to the position from Concordia University – Wisconsin, where he was the wide receiver coach and advisor for minority education, as well as working in the front office of the NFL's New England Patriots with football giants, Head Coach Bill Belichick and Scott Pioli, Vice President of Player Personnel.

Coach Allen commented, “We hired an unbelievable candidate. He was an awesome player at Wisconsin and was instrumental in turning the program into the powerhouse it is today. They went from last in the Big 10, to winning the Rose bowl during J.C.'s four years. We feel it's truly a blessing to get someone with his ability and background to be a part of the SBU football program.  "We welcome J.C. to the SBU family."
