Plaster Stadium

Plaster Stadium

Plaster Stadium provides an excellent playing surface for Bearcat football. The structure was completed in 1985 and is named in honor of Robert W. Plaster, a Lebanon, Missouri businessman who was a major contributor to the fundraising effort for the new facility. The playing surface at the stadium is natural grass, which was re-turfed in 1988. The stadium sports lights that were donated by an anonymous donor in 1998.

Encircling the football field is the Orlin B. Stewart Track and the Edwin C. Rice Facility. The track is named in honor of Orlin B. Stewart, who taught and coached at SBU for 38 years. He also served as athletics director from 1956-67.
