Josh Scarbrough
SBU Assistant Baseball Coach

Josh ScarbroughEntering his third year on the staff of Sam Berg, Scarbrough has helped to improve SBU's hitting in the past two seasons. Last year, he helped SBU to one of their best records under Berg.

Scarbrough came to SBU from a very successful baseball program at the University of Virginia-Wise. At UVA-Wise, Scarbrough played all four years and finished his senior season ninth in the nation for home runs in NAIA and 18th nationally in RBI. By hitting so many homeruns, he set the record for single season homers at UVA-Wise. In his four years, he played first base, third base, and catcher.

He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in history in 2002 and is working towards his Master's in Education at SBU. In the summer, he is a coach at the Mickey Owen Baseball school in Branson.

Scarbrough is originally from Ashburn, Virginia, and attended Broad Run H.S. where he lettered three years in baseball.
