PITTSBURG, KS. ... Southwest Baptist came from behind to win game one, 8-6, but then fell to PIttsburg State, 13-10 in game two after holding a 5-1 lead.

After being down 6-4, SBU fought back for an 8-6 win. PSU scored two runs in the first for a 2-1 lead. SBU put up one run in the first inning when Eric Beal hit a solo shot to right center field.
SBU added two more runs in the second inning for a 3-2 lead on a Spencer Wilkins home run. PSU responded strongly with a four-run second inning and a 6-3 lead.
The Bearcats cut he lead to two, 6-4, in the third inning when Wilkins singled home Skyler Powers.
The three-run sixth inning propelled SBU to the win. Robby Hallock tied the game when he nailed a two-run shot over the left field fence. Beal followed Hallock with his second HR of the night to give SBU a 7-6 lead. SBU then added an insurance run in the seventh inning when Seth Burrell came home on a wild pitch.
PSU had two runners on in the seventh inning and only one out but Beau Davis worked his magic to pick up the save.
Dustin Childress received the win to improve to 6-5 on the year. He went 6.0 innings and allowed six runs, seven hits, and recorded three strikeouts. Davis came in for the save and only gave up one hit with one strikeout.
Spencer Wilkins, Eric Beal, and Josh Baggett all had two hits while Wilkins had three RBI.

Having an early 5-1 lead, SBU could not keep their distance as PSU struck back for a 13-10 win.
SBU took a 3-0 lead in the second inning. Skyler Powers was the first player to score when he came home on a wild pitch and then Jason Hines was the second run on a Robby Hallock ground out. Kevin Miller brough in the third run on a single to right field.
PSU added one in the third but SBU had one run in the fourth and fifth innings for a 5-1 lead. Hallock brought in the lone run in the fourth and then Wilkins had a sacrifice fly for the fifth run of the game.
The Gorillas shot back with six runs in the fifth inning and sixth inning for their 13 runs. SBU had three runs in the sixth on a Miller and Powers home run. That made it 8-7 but the Bearcats allowed six runs in the bottom of the sixth to make it 13-8. SBU could only muster up two runs in the seventh as PSU took the win.
John Facteau ended up with the loss as he gave up five runs. Both Robby Hallock and Kevin Miller had two hits as they combined for seven of SBU's 10 runs.
SBU will host Truman State on Friday, April 22, at 3 p.m. in Bolivar.
