Diamond H.S.: As a senior, was a first-team all-state selection along with being first-team all-area, all-district, and all-conference ... In junior season, was second team all-state selection and was honorable mention all-district ... Batted .490 with 21 stolen bases ... Was a four-year letterman in football and basketball ... In football, was an all-area and all-district selection along with being an all-State linebacker... Was the valedictorian of his class ... Was a presidential scholar, Army scholar athlete, HOBY finalist, and a Wendy's High School Heisman finalist ... Was a member of the National Honor Society, FBCA, and student council.

Personal: Will major in communications ... Is the son of Tim and Cindy Powers ... Born on December 9, 1983.
