Livia Brito and Courtney Creed ready for a rebound.
BOLIVAR, MO -- Livia Brito scored a season-high 25 points and led SBU to a MIAA win against Missouri Southern, 80-75.

Brito was 10-15 from the field and grabbed 7 rebounds. The Lady ‘Cats shot 53.7% from the field.

After the game, coach Jim Middleton said the Lady ‘Cats "had a good tempo from the get go. It was nice to see the girls come out on fire tonight. Brito hit some big shots – especially hitting a key banker with the shot clock expiring. Courtney Creed was a great lift off the bench. She had a big rebound late in the game. We made a lot of subs early in the game. We wanted the bench to get a good feel for the game early. It was good to see us shoot the ball like we know we can. I hope we can bottle up this win – and keep this momentum going on the road.”
Leslie Hanchey had 9 points, 6 boards and 5 steals.

Other Lady ‘Cats in double figures were Cortney Shewmaker (13), Courtney Creed (10), and Amber Wheeler (10).

The Lady ‘Cats are on the road Wednesday night – as they face Missouri Western. Tipoff is at 5:30 in St. Joseph.
