Lady 'Cats Fall to Emporia State 51-88

The SBU Lady 'Cats were defeated by the Emporia State Lady Hornets 51 to 88. The Lady 'Cats suffered their 2nd consecutive loss - and fell to 8-3 on the season. They are now 0-2 in MIAA play.

Michelle Stueve, Emporia State's All-American, dropped in 28 points and grabbed 18 rebounds.

The Lady 'Cats shot 31% from the field, hitting on 18 of their 58 shots. SBU connected on only 1 of 14 of their 3-point attempts.

Cortney Shewmaker (13 points) and Erika Souza (12 points) were the only Lady 'Cats in double figures.

The Lady Hornets out-rebounded the Lady Cats 56-30.

The Lady 'Cats are back in action on January 2, as they take on Central Missouri here in Bolivar. Tipoff is at 5:45.
