BOLIVAR, MO -- Reggie Robinson sank a free throw with .4 seconds in regulation to give NW Missouri State an 81-80 victory over the SBU Bearcats in the conference opener for both teams.

Freshman Matt Rogers adds to his MIAA-leading block total.
SBU had tied the game on a dramatic 3-pointer from Jim Grabowski with only 14 seconds remaining. But Reggie Robinson drew a foul on the next trip to earn a trip to the charity stripe.

Late in the first half, SBU twice built leads of 17 points, but in a sign of things to come, NW trimmed the lead to 7 by halftime. During that very stretch, NW out-scored SBU by 24-4 to recapture the lead. SBU never led again after that stretch. SBU scored 53 points in the first half, but only 27 points in the second.
Senior Jesus Lopez had a team high 11 rebounds.

SBU was led by Jason Jemison with 19 points. Jared Yound added 16. Jesus Lopez grabbed 11 rebounds. As a team, SBU out-rebounded NW by 45 to 28, but only shot 43% from the field to NW's 48%.

In the second half, SBU shot 26% from the field to NW's 44%.

Matt Rogers added to his MIAA-leading block total with 4 more tonight.
