SBU softball loses final two at Midwestern State tourney

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- SBU dropped the last two matchups at the MSU Invitational Tournament, by scores of 13-1 to Midwestern State, and 7-0 to Arkansas Tech. Krysta Baderdeen was named to the All-Tournament team.

In the first game against Midwestern State, the eventual tournament champion, Nina Amaro-Garcia scored the lone Bearcat run, after a triple in the fourth inning, then coming home on Krysta Baderdeen's sacrifice fly.

In the second game against Arkansas Tech, Bearcat pitcher Brittney Wood held the Golden Suns scoreless through four innings, until some costly errors gave ATU a 3-0 lead in the fifth.

Next up for the Bearcats is the MSSU/PSU Border Battle, on Friday and Saturday, February 27-28, held jointly in Joplin, Mo. and Pittsburg, Kan.
