SBU's Shawn Etzenhouser - MIAA Athlete of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- SBU's Shawn Etzenhouser has been named as the MIAA Athlete of the Week for men's cross country.
Etzenhouser, a 5-foot-11 sophomore from Liberty, Mo., won the Central Missouri Mule Run Friday evening (Sept.12).
He won on the 4-mile course with a clocking of 20 minutes, 43.75 seconds -- more than seven seconds ahead of the runner-up, UCM's Brett Carter.
The Bearcats just missed a team victory, finishing two points behind the host Mules in second place with 80 points.
Etzenhouser is a graduate of Liberty High School.
