Bearcat Track & Field Puts 27 on MIAA Honor Roll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced that the SBU Bearcat track & field team has placed 27 student-athletes on 2007-08 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

SBU's Courtney Ayers, Jenny Blair, Susan Bowman, Kristen Colon, Kristin Dickerson, Christine Flippin, Jennifer Golden, Rachel Levingston, Alyssa Maggart, Mallory Roth, Katie Ware, and Erica Whitfield have been named to the MIAA's women's prestigious list.

SBU's Andrew Bly, Shawn Etzenhouser, Jeremy Glassmaker, David Hackney, Erik Johnson, Jesse Kueker, Michael McCampbell, Michael Morris, Phillip Peek, Michael Pierce, Tyler Sammons, Nathan Stukenborg, Lance Tedford, Vincent Tichenor, and Jeffery Weseloh have been named to the MIAA's men's prestigious list.

Student-athletes are named to the list under the following criteria: 1.) The student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or better at the qualifying institution; 2.) The student-athlete must have at least two terms of attendance at the member school, excluding summer sessions; 3.) The student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior in athletic eligibility; 4.) Student-athletes inactive due to redshirt or hardship qualification are not eligible.
