BOLIVAR, Mo. -- The SBU Men’s and Women’s tennis teams travelled to Arkadelphia, Ark. this weekend to open their 2008 season. Both teams returned home with a 2-1 record.

The women opened their season with a 1-8 loss to Tarleton State, but fought back to a 2-1 record beating both Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist 7-2.

The men started their season in winning fashion going 2-0 with wins over Delta State (5-4) and Arkansas-Fort Smith (7-2). Unfortunately the Bearcats were unable to return home with a clean sweep, as they lost their final match of the weekend 0-9 to Ouachita Baptist.
