WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Southwest Baptist men's track team travelled to the University of Central Missouri on Friday February 8^th 2008. The SBU men finished with seven top five finishers and two event champions at the UCM mule relays.  Coach McElhaney commented: “It was nice to see a lot of teams from our conference.  We competed well and had some standout performances plus several personal bests.”

Nathaniel Rogers finished first in the 600 meters with a  time of 1:14.94 which ranks #2 in SBU school history, behind Coach McElhaney’s own record of 1:14.54 set in 2004.

When asked of the overall performance, McElhaney replied, "I was impressed today, after having a week off and some of our tougher workouts the past two weeks, everyone really came out and competed today.  From top to bottom we had some great races/throws today.”

Next week, the SBU men's and women’s teams travel to Missouri Southern State University for the Radio Shack Invite, while the men’s Distance Medley Relay team travels to Iowa State University for the Iowa State Classic.
