For the third
time this season, the SBU men's tennis team fell to the Washburn
Ichabods 5-4 in a dual match. This time the teams met in the
preliminary round of the NCAA South Central Region #1.

The SBU Bearcat men's tennis team learned Wednesday they would play Washburn on May 7 at 10 a.m. in Abilene, Texas in the preliminary round of the NCAA Tournament.

MIAA MVP Zsiga leads SBU men's tennis on All-MIAA Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --
The SBU Bearcat men's tennis team was well represented on the All-MIAA
team announced Wednesday. The Bearcats had five on the first team --
securing the top four singles flights. Leading the way were junior
Marton Zsiga and freshman Jorge Margiotta.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Defending champion SBU was denied its league record 15th MIAA title by top-seeded Washburn, as the Ichabods defeated the third-seeded Bearcats 5-4 in a thrilling MIAA Men's Tennis Championship final.
