The SBU Bearcats defeated the Golden Knights of Gannon University by the score of 92-80 in Sunday's consolation game of the Subway Holiday Tournament hosted by Quincy University.

Jason Jemison scored 32 points, a career high, which was also good enough to earn him several spots in the tournament record books. His 32 points were second most in a tourney game. His six 3-pointers were the most in a tourney game. Jemison also tied the tourney record for overall 3's made with eight. Jemison is SBU's leading scorer, emerging from today's contest with an 18.9 average on the season.

Luke Folkerts' 10 assists were enough to earn him a tournament record for assists in a game.

Jim Grabowski pulled down 7 rebounds and added 24 points. Jemison, Grabowski, and Colt Blair (14 points) combined for 70 of SBU's 92 points.

Only a single percentage point separated SBU's and Gannon's overall field goal percentages for the game (54% to 53%). But in the category of 3-pointers, SBU shot 47% to Gannon's 37%. SBU's 16 successful 3-pointers were the most they have made all year.

SBU led by only 2 at the half, but never trailed in the second half. Their largest lead was 19, which happened twice, both on 3-pointers by Grabowski.

SBU improves to 6-4 on the season. The Bearcats will return from Christmas break with an away game against MIAA opponent Emporia State on December 30.
