SBU Men Lose To Rockhurst 79-53

The SBU Bearcats were defeated by host Rockhurst University 79-53 in a Saturday afternoon matchup in the 'Rock U Classic' in Kansas City.

Rockhurst led the entire game.

SBU went to the locker room at halftime trailing by 25. Each team had taken 27 1st-half shots. SBU had connected on 9 for 33%. Rockhurst had connected on 18 for 67%.

For the game - SBU shot 38% from the field. Rockhurst shot 59%. The Bearcats were out-rebounded 36-27.

Rockhurst guard Joey Deas connected on 7 of 9 from behind the 3-point line.

SBU's leading scorer was Jim Grabowski, with 12. He was the only Bearcat in double figures.

The Bearcats are in action again on November 28 with an away game at Arkansas Monticello.
