Pace voted onto South Central Regional Tournament Team

Sheldon Pace led SBU to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament.
BOLIVAR, MO. ... For his play in the NCAA Tournament, senior Sheldon Pace was named to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Touranment team. He lead SBU to the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament.

Pace was one of five players named to the team as Tarleton State's John Davis was named the Most Outstanding Player. Along with Pace and Davis, Tarleton State's LaShon Sheffield, CMSU's Michael Hicks, and NWMSU's Xzavier Gaines also made the all-tournament team.

Pace had 24 points in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament vs. NWMSU but sat out the final eight minutes of the game due to an injury. He re-entered the game with 6 seconds left to attempt the game tying 3-pointer that almost went in. In the first round vs. St. Edwards, he had seven points, nine assists, and six rebounds.

SBU finsihed the year at 27-5 and won the MIAA Championship, outright, the MIAA Tournament, made the NCAA Tournament, and was the #1 seed in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament. It had been 15 years since SBU had won a MIAA Championship or been in the NCAA Tournament.
