[NCAA Divison II Poll]

KANSAS CITY, MO.  ... In poll #7, the Southwest Baptist University men's basketball team moved up two spots to #4 in the nation.  This continues to be the highest ranking for SBU since the 1990-91 season.

Coach Guiot says on his #4 national ranking, "I don't know which is getting bigger here at SBU, my belly or the target on our backs."

SBU moved up two spots due to two of the top 5 teams in the nation losing this past weekend.  In the #2 vs. #3 matchup between Western Washington and Seattle Pacific, WWU came away with the win.  Then #5 Northern State lost to #18 Winona State to fall out of the top vie.

Montevallo remains at #1 with Western Washington at #2 the new #3 is St. Joseph's followed by #4 SBU.  Fort Hays State, whom SBU defeated earlier this season, is at #6 and their lone loss still remains SBU.  NW Missouri State moved up to 18th in the nation but Truman State dropped out of the poll.

SBU hosts Missouri Southern tonight in MIAA play in Bolivar at 7:45 p.m.
