BOLIVAR, Mo. -- SBU softball head coach Christy Capner announced that Wednesday's doubleheader at Rockhurst has been cancelled.

SBU is still in contention for the final spot in the MIAA tournament but needs help to grab the eighth seed.

Should SBU and Fort Hays State end the regular season tied at 5-15 in the MIAA and if Washburn finishes ahead of Missouri Southern, SBU would own the tiebreaker against FHSU due to the Bearcats' win over Washburn. After head-to-head, the MIAA tiebreaker is record against the conference standings, beginning with the first place team and working down.

Missouri Southern hosts Nebraska-Omaha for two games on Tuesday, that were postponed from today, while Fort Hays also hosts Pittsburg State in a doubleheader on Tuesday.
