PITTSBURG, Kan. -- The SBU Bearcat outdoor track and field squad competed Saturday at the Pitt State Gorilla Classic and picked up four event wins.

Sarah Bowling continued her strong performance of late as she picked up three wins in the high jump, long jump and triple jump. Her high jump effort of 1.68 meters was good enough for the NCAA provisional qualifying mark.

Michael Pierce and Jeremy Glassmaker went one-two in the 1500 meter run, with Pierce's time of 3:52.10 also an NCAA provisional mark.

SBU also picked up second place finishes from Jenny Blair in the 200 meters (25.11 - school record) and 400 meters (58.16); Jennifer Glllespie in the 400 meter hurdles (1:04.50); Shawn Etzenhouser in the 800 meters (1:52.75 - NCAA provisional and school record); and Kyle Grant in the high jump (2.05m - NCAA provisional).

Selected SBU athletes will compete next weekend at the Kansas Relays in Lawrence, Kan., with others competing at the Dewey Allgood Invitational at Missouri S&T in Rolla on Saturday, April 18.
