BOLIVAR, Mo. -- The SBU Bearcats fell twice at home on Saturday to the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks, losing 10-1 and 12-3, as the Mavs would complete the four-game sweep.

Much like they did in Friday's games, game one saw the visiting Mavs
(20-9, 10-4 MIAA)
jump on top in the first inning, scoring three times. UNO would add single tallies in the third and fourth, before getting three in the fifth and two more in the sixth. The Bearcats' lone run came in the fifth when Kyle Wise would double to score Kyle Tormanen from first.

Game two was closer as SBU hurler Eric Wallace would throw seven innings, allowing only three runs and leaving with a 3-3 tie. The SBU bullpen and defense would let down their starter, allowing nine runs over the last two innings while committing four errors.

Wise and Tormanen each had two hits in the opener while Brendon Cox and A.J. Roller would each have two knocks in the nightcap.

The Bearcats (7-16, 5-9 MIAA) travel to Hays, Kansas next weekend, for doubleheaders with Fort Hays State on both Friday and Saturday. Friday's action (March 27) begins at 3:00 p.m. while Saturday's contests begin at 1:00 p.m.
