EMPORIA, Kan. -- The SBU Bearcats dropped their final three games at the Emporia State AAUW Softball Showcase. SBU fell to Augustana (S.D.) 13-0 in game one, then lost to Southwestern Oklahoma 5-2 before the host ESU squad came out on top 2-0.

Sarah Brison had two hits in the opener and added one in the second game. McKenzie Mortimer stole two bases on the day. Josie Rose threw 12 innings in games two and three and struck out 9, but allowed seven runs in the two losses.

The Bearcats were without their leading hitter, 3B Krysta Baderdeen, who suffered a finger injury last week against Drury.

SBU (8-14) will be on the road in their next contest. Games with Missouri-St. Louis will be this Tuesday starting at 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.
