OMAHA, Neb. -- The SBU women's tennis team fell in their MIAA opener to
Nebraska-Omaha 6-3, in a dual match held Friday at the Hanscom Tennis
Center.
After dropping the three doubles matches, the Bearcats
(2-2) got singles wins from #2 Johanna Olsson (6-2, 6-2), #3 Jenna
Hendrickson (6-2, 6-0) and #4 Trish Moceo (6-2, 6-3).
Nebraska-Omaha,
who joined the conference at the start of the 2008-09 school year,
improves to 4-4 after winning its first ever MIAA women's tennis match.

As
the Bearcats return to Bolivar, they'll make stops at conference foes
Northwest Missouri State in Maryville and Missouri Western in St.
Joseph. The Saturday matchups begin at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.,
respectively.
