JOPLIN, Mo. -- Jeff Weseloh's MIAA best and school record time in the 600 yard run highlighted the SBU indoor track & field team's performance at the Missouri Southern Invitational. The Bearcats earned four individual or team event victories at the meet.
“This was a good weekend before conference,” said head coach Corey McElhaney. “Our kids looked a little tired and some were sick but overall everyone came out and gave it their best efforts. Now we will try to get everyone ready for the MIAA Championships next weekend.”
Listed below are SBU top five performances from the MSSU Invitational.
WOMEN:
60 meter dash: 3rd, Jenny Blair, 8.09 (prelims, finished 6th in finals)
200 meter dash: 3rd, Jennifer Gillespie, 26.46
5th, Jenny Blair, 27.15
400 meter dash: 2nd, Jennifer Gillespie, 59.28
600 yard dash: 2nd, Kassidy Porter, 1:29.82
3rd, Katie Dusenburg, 1:30.45
