ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The SBU women’s team lost to Ouachita Baptist, 90-76, in a non-conference game on the road.

Rachel Graves led the Bearcats in tonight’s contest, scoring 17 points. Graves had 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Mia Gilreath added 15 points.

The Bearcats were behind by 13, but rallied to pull within two of OBU at the 10 minute mark. SBU, however, could not sustain the rally.

The Bearcats were out-rebounded 72-36 tonight.

"We gave up too many rebounds tonight." said SBU’s head coach, JC Carter. "I thought our defense was really good – maybe some of the best defense we’ve played all season. But we didn’t rebound and get the basketball tonight. We’ve got to get better on the boards."

SBU’s next game is at Pittsburg State at 5:30 on Saturday, December 13.
