SBU Men Win 100-70 Over Missouri Baptist

BOLIVAR, Mo. – The SBU Bearcats won their 17th straight at home, by defeating Missouri Baptist 100-70.

SBU’s D’Ante Harris scored 19 for SBU, and grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds. Matt Rogers added 17. points, and 7 scrapes. Rogers also had 5 blocks for the Bearcats. Brandon Burgette and Nick Kovacevich scored 12 each for SBU.

As a team, the Bearcats shot 50.0% from the field, and 46.2% from long range.

The 17-game home winning streak began during the 2006-07 season, with a 108-89 win over Emporia State on February 24, 2007. The Bearcats won all 15 games last season in Bolivar.

The win gives SBU a 2-0 record. SBU hosts Drury on Saturday at 7:30.
