SBU Volleyball Loses to #13 Central Missouri

BOLIVAR, Mo. – The SBU Bearcats lost to #13 Central Missouri, 3-0, to fall to 11-13 on the season.

The Bearcats dropped the first set, 25-10, but came back strong in the second set but losing, 26-24. The Jennies took the third set with a 25-21 score.

SBU’s attack was balanced tonight led by Rachel Sawyer’s 9 kills and Ashley Jurgensmeyer’s 8 kills.

The Bearcats, who came into tonight’s match at #23 in the nation in blocks as a team, added 5 to that total tonight.

The loss gives the Bearcats an 11-13 overall mark, and a 3-8 record in the MIAA.

SBU hits the road, travelling to Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday to continue their MIAA schedule.
