Hays, Kan. - After their third and final game of the week, in Kansas, the Bearcats will return home with a 3-2 (25-18, 26-24, 17-25, 22-25, 15-10) win over the Tigers of Fort Hays

The Bearcats took the first set 25-18 with the help of Ashley Jurgensmeyer who had 7 kills and 3 blocks.

The Tigers fought back in the second set after being down by 5, but the Bearcats were able to hold on, putting them up 2-0. Rachel Sawyer added 5 kills in the set helping the Bearcats get the final two points with a kill and block assist.

The Tigers came back strong in the third set winning it 25-17 with the help of Lilian Rezende who added 7 kills to her total for the night.

Fort Hays took the fourth set to tie the game 2-2 and sending it to a fifth and final set.

Jurgensmeyer lifted the Bearcats to the win with 4 kills in the final set. She ended the match with 18 kills, followed by Kinsey Palmer with 13 and Sawyer who had 12.

Brianna Wallace added another 42 assists to her season tally.

The Bearcats are now 10-11 on the season and will return home next weekend when they face Missouri Southern State and Pittsburg State.
