Bearcat Volleyball Loses in Close Fought Match

BOLIVAR, Mo. - SBU loses "Battle of The Bearcats" in four (27-25, 21-25, 25-19, 26-24). Match finishes 3-1 in Northwest Missouri States favor.

SBU went down a set but fought back to tie the game one set apiece. Despite a heroic effort from Ashley Jurgensmeyer, who had 18 kills, SBU were unable to keep their momentum going and lost the third and fourth set 25-19 and 26-24.

Whitney Baker added 13 kills and Rachel Sawyer added 11 for the Bearcats of SBU.

Brianna Wallace dominated the match in assists with 46.

SBU will now prepare for Tuesdays game when they face the Panthers of Drury in Springfield, Mo. at 7pm.
