BOLIVAR, Mo. -- The SBU Bearcats were defeated by Nebraska - Omaha, 3-0.

The Bearcats played the Mavericks close in the first two sets (25-21, 25-23), but lost the final set, 25-16.

SBU's Ashley Jergensmeyer had a team-high kill total of 11. Brianna Wallace recorded 29 assists.

With today's defeat, SBU falls to 7-7 on the season, with an 0-2 mark in the MIAA.

The Bearcats travel to Kirksville on September 24 to face Truman State.
