Volleyball Losses Opening Match at Harding Classic

BOLIVAR, MO. - Bearcat Volleyball falls in five (22-25, 23-25, 25-15, 25-9, 15-17) to Arkansas-Monticello.

After falling behind two sets the Bearcats clawed their way back to 2-2, to send it to a fifth and final set. The Cotton Blossoms took the lead in the fifth set from point one and never relinquished it, winning 17-15.

Juniors Kelsey Stewart and Kinsey Palmer led the Bearcats in kills with 20 and 14 respectively.

Sophomore, Brianna Wallace, dominated in assists with 41 of 50 for the Bearcats.

Freshman, Ashley Jurgensmeyer and Kylie Heim were key members  of the Bearcats front line with with 7 and 6 blocks, respectively.

The Bearcats now sit at 5-4 and will look to fight back with a win when they face Henderson State later today.
