BOLIVAR, Mo. - Bearcat Soccer opens their MIAA season with a 3-0 win over Emporia State Hornets.

Rhiane Mitchell, a freshman from Manchester, England, hit the back of the net twice for the first and final goals of the match. Mitchell now sits at seven goals for the season in just two games, which puts her on route to break the SBU school record for goals in a season. The record is currently held by Ashley Munnelly who scored 17 in the 2004 season.

The second goal was put in by Nic Cousins, with the assist coming from Jaymye Ross. Cousins added to assists to her tally for the season, putting her at 7 assists.

Coach Wade and the Bearcats are now setting their sights to Saturday, when they face Missouri Southern State Lions in Joplin, Mo. Kick-Off is at 12pm.
