Bearcats Fall To #10 Hornets

EMPORIA, Kan. -- The Bearcats lost to #10 Emporia State (2-6 and 4-6) in a pair of MIAA games on Saturday afternoon.

SBU out-hit the Hornets in game one, 9 to 6, but left 10 runners on base in the 2-6 loss. Brad Mountjoy and Justin Barnhart each went 3 for 4 at the plate.

In game two, the Bearcats held a 4-2 lead heading into Emporia's half of the eighth, but watched the Hornets plate 4 runs in their half. Jason Asher was 2 of 5 with 3 RBI's.

The Bearcats stand at 4-16 on the season with a 2-10 mark in the MIAA.
