BOLIVAR, MO -- SBU lost to Fort Hays tonight, 74-64, and lost an opportunity to put some distance between themselves and the MIAA peloton.

The game was tied at the half, 27-27, but Fort Hays outscored the Bearcats 47-37 in the second half.

SBU shot only 20% from the three-point line tonight on 4 of 20. The Bearcats connected on 23 of 53 from the field for 43.4%.

Jesus Lopez pulled down 6 rebounds.
Jim Grabowski scored 20 and pulled down 5 defensive rebounds.

Matt Rogers had 4 blocks. Jared Young added 3 blocks.

The Bearcats couldn't counter the tough inside play of the Tigers, particularly in the second half. Fort Hays' power forward Jeff Pruitt scored 14 on 6-13 from the field.

SBU's record falls to 14-10, 8-7 in the MIAA. They travel to Pittsburg State on Saturday.
