Educational and Professional Background: Callahan is the former President of the Springfield Visual Arts Alliance. She has won awards and been juried into numerous art exhibits. She is a member of the Uncommon Threads, Contemporary Art Quilt Group, representing fiber artists from a three state region meeting regularly in Springfield, MO. The organization's blog at uncommthreads.org currently displays one of her most recent pieces. Her award-winning piece, ISABEL was displayed in Callahan's faculty show here in Driskill Gallery. The Uncommon Threads blog also hosts a web gallery of that solo show in addition to a review written by one of her Uncommon Threads' colleagues.
