Contest Rules
- The school competition will be scored like a track meet. For each event, scoring will be first place-10 points, 2nd place-eight points, 3rd place-six points, 4th place-four points, 5th place-two points, 6th place-one point. The school with the most points will take first place and so on.
- In the case of a tie in team scoring, the team with the largest number of students at the competition will win. If there is still a
tie, then the winner will be awarded by coin toss. Trophies will be awarded to the top
three teams.
- There will be a large school and small school division within the College Prep Championships. All schools will be ranked based on the number of students enrolled in grades 9-12. The largest schools will be in the large school division; the smallest schools will be in the small school division. SBU reserves the right to change the dividing line between divisions to even out school divisions.
- Individual awards will be given for the top six students in each category. A competition MVP award will be given to the student who has the highest scores on two tests within the competition.
- Individual places will be calculated based on scores generated by scantron test card
readers.
- The final arbiter shall be the head judge.
