Tim DeClue
Dr. Timothy DeClue began his career with SBU as an instructor in 1985. He currently serves as the department chair of computer and information sciences (CIS) and holds the rank of professor. He teaches both undergraduate CIS and graduate courses in the masters of business administration program. Also he serves as sponsor of SBU's Competitive Teams with the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM) and with the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP). He is the current president of Faculty Senate.
Dr. DeClue has numerous publications and professional presentations to his credit. The first was an essay he co-authored entitled "Talents and Technology," which was included in the book A Noble Calling: Devotions and Essays for Business Professionals. The second was an article he wrote entitled "Pressing on Toward Victory" in the book Psalm 15: Integrating Faith and Work. He is a faculty member who consistently integrates faith and discipline.
Tim obtained both a Bachelor of Science in music education in 1982 and a master's degree in school computer studies from Northwest Misssouri State University in 1985. He earned a PhD in curriculum and instruction from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 1997.
Dr. DeClue is marrried to Gina, and they have three children, Ty, Tarah and Tori. His family attends First Baptist Church in Bolivar, and he serves as a worship leader for the Esquire Ministry and as a deacon.
