Seek budget approval for Year 4 of the staff equity plan.

Seek budget approval for Year 3 of the faculty equity plan.

Increase funding for faculty development to .075 percent of the overall University budget.

Continue to strengthen the collaboration between academics and student life in order to enhance student learning.

Design an Institutional Research Data and Information Access Initiative to ensure that all administrative units and academic programs have reliable and ready access to accurate institutional data, and that such data be updated and maintained as a resource in perpetuity.

Complete the HLC self-study, culminating in a successful team visit in March 2006.

Maintain a culture of improvement by implementing recommendations/proposals from the HLC self-study.

Document and analyze assessment information (including academic and administrative review and UPAC objectives) and use that analysis as the basis for budget and decision-making processes.

Strengthen the integration of diversity throughout the fabric of the institution.

Develop, communicate and implement performance review plans for all employees.

Continue to improve student learning across all areas of campus.

Enroll a total of 600 new students for the fall of 2006, including 410 freshmen, 115 transfers, 25 readmits, and 50 special.

Achieve a retention rate of 85 percent of freshmen to the sophomore year.

Establish an office of university relations with designated personnel focused on marketing, public relations, web development, sports information, alumni relations, major events, graphic design, and church relations.

Perform and compile research, complete a workable document outline, and write a charge for a communication and marketing plan that will be drafted by a reorganized office of university relations.

Investigate ways by which the University can develop more effective communication between all campuses and centers.

Identify ways in which employees currently serve the on-campus and off-campus communities and investigate means to encourage, publicize and facilitate employee involvement in service.

Assess the spiritual needs of the University family and develop program(s) to address those needs.

19

Complete the development of a mechanism for making chapel attendance a part of the permanent student record.
