Annual Objectives 2003-2004

  1. Implement year two of the staff equity plan for increasing salaries. 
  2. Formulate a plan for faculty equity salary increases.
  3. Develop a plan for implementing parity in academic loads for department chairs.
  4. Explore the benefit of establishing a Baptist Student Union or similar organization.
  5. Implement a new employee orientation program.
  6. Continue opportunities for faculty/staff development.
  7. Develop an integrated marketing plan, including implementation of an effective web site.
  8. Employ a full-time webmaster.
  9. Develop a plan for sponsoring academic competitions that bring high school students to campus.
  10. Implement a plan that trains appropriate employees as student recruiters.
  11. Develop and implement a five-year financial plan which would include (1) an annual evaluation of a five-year perpetual capital/equipment needs assessment, (2) staff and faculty equity adjustments consistent with administrative and academic unit reviews, and (3) detailed evaluations of income sources, full-cost allocated departmental reviews and debt service covenants.
  12. Complete development and implementation of the academic and administrative unit review processes.
  13. Study the need for establishing an office of institutional research.
  14. Successfully complete the five-year Partners in Excellence campaign, reaching the $50 million goal by May 31, 2004.
  15. Develop a formal university-wide communication plan.
  16. Advance to the next level of on-campus food service, including the hiring of a chef.
  17. Review admission standards.
