BOLIVAR, MO – The public is invited to attend computer training seminars led by Southwest Baptist University's Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team members. The seminars will include instruction in basic computer and technology skills such as: navigating important programs; My Computer (possibly the Control Panel); basic internet skills; looking up by URLs; using a search engine; finding pictures and copying them into Word documents; checking weather; using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 2007; using flash drives (jump drives); Paint program; online bill payment; cell phone usage; access to internet; how to chat; check minutes remaining, etc.
The dates for this class are: Monday, Nov. 5; Tuesday, Nov. 6; Monday, Nov. 12; and Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 6-8 p.m. each night.
The location is Bolivar High School. Participants can bring a flash drive or a cell phone to learn more about that type of technology. The cost is $20 per person. For more information, please contact Kathy Drake at (417) 326-4916.
