SBU Selects New Ambassadors to Serve in 2007-2008

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University has selected four students to serve as new ambassadors for the 2007-2008 academic year. They will join nine other students who are currently serving the University. Ambassadors are the official student representatives of SBU President Dr. C. Pat Taylor and his wife Judy. Ambassadors are chosen after an interview process that includes information on how the person relates to different personality types, social adaptability and a willingness to serve.

 

The new ambassadors are:

 

Rebekah Wright, sophomore

Major: International Business and Spanish

Hometown: Wichita, KS

Parents' names: Rick and D'Annette Wright

 

Rachel Kohl, sophomore

Major: Elementary Education

Hometown: Harrisburg, MO

Parents' names: Nate and Lori Kohl

 

Jillian Mychal Arnett, junior

Major: International Business Administration

Hometown: Abidjan, Ivory Coast

Parents' names: Randy R. Arnett and Kathy Gage Arnett

 

Chad Hagan, sophomore

Major: Chemistry & Integration of Science and Christian Faith

Hometown: Nixa, MO

Parents' names: Barry and Kim Hagan

 

The SBU ambassador program was established in 1994. The group assists the Taylors with special functions on and off campus. These functions include sharing the SBU story with current and prospective donors, community leaders and special guests, as well as assisting with homecoming, graduation, receptions, convocations and other University events.
